When you place an order for a quarter, half or whole beef portion you will pay a deposit and, once the beef is taken to the butcher and the final weight is determined, you will be sent an invoice for the final cost. For half and whole portions of beef you will be asked to select the cuts when you pay the initial deposit.

We make our own feed that we give them. The feed mixture is an old family mixture that allows us to control the marbling content perfectly. And since we run a cow/calf operation that means our steers are born on our farm and kept in our care their entire lives. We do our very best to keep them happy, safe and stress free. When cattle are happy and not stressed, it comes through in their meat. When cattle are handled with patience and in a stress-free environment it contributes to the tenderness of the beef.

Our ground beef is roughly 90% lean. We do not add any fat from another animal in our ground beef (grocery stores will often add additional fat to their meat and it is how they have options like 80/20 ground beef).
-
Our cattle are born and raised on grass their whole life and the last 120 days we hand feed them a crushed grain ration that we mix ourselves.

Absolutely. When it comes to “anti-biotic free”- the statement of meat being “anti-biotic free” is just a marketing scam by meat packers to get people to buy their meat. It makes it seem as if there is meat being sold that has recently been given antibiotics- and this is not the case. Legally there is a withdraw period you must wait to butcher your cattle after giving them an anti-biotic.

Yes, you have the option to choose your own cuts if you get a whole or half of beef. You will not be able to choose your own cuts on a quarter of beef. All quarters of beef will be cut the same. The pre-determined cut list for quarters is listed on the order page. We recommend using the list of cuts for a quarter if you purchase a whole or half of beef and do not want to choose your own cuts. It gives a good variety that most people like.

If you have purchased a whole, half or quarter you can pick up your beef from the processor at no extra cost. For $100 we will pick up the beef from the processor and have it available for you at the farm. Beef Boxes are picked up from the farm once the orders are filled.
